On line live sxs
If you get a standard rzr you will need a lift kit, tires and within a few months the Makkin Trax springs(stock springs will sag) so you have decent ground clearance. Trying to get talked into selling my sweet XP850, but not sure it's the right move.
The S comes with 12" GC, Bighorns and is ready to go. I think I'm needing to move from an ATV to a Sx S in order to be a bit more guest friendly, shall we say. I rode an RZR in the snow a few years ago, but it just couldn't compare to the XP and I really like the launch factor that machine gives me.
I finally broke down and bought a RZR 4 to take the family around. I personally would like to upgrade the power but as is it's a blast.
My wife has no interest in riding a 4wheeler so this seemed like a perfect match. I have a Raptor 700 and I'm thinking about selling it due to the fact that I never want to ride it anymore. I rode dirt bikes in the 70s & 80s then got too old and fat so switched to ATVs in 93.
The power of a rzr is closer to a 550xp (drag race proven by me). I need to hear why you like them and what's fun about them. Lots of slop and some deep mud locally, with nice open trials to the north....which means I'd have to travel more to ride. 1st.RZR is not going to have near the snap that the 850 has...200lbs heavier and 15 less HP.to mention a slower revving motor.
Youtube makes Sx Ss look pretty capable in the rough stuff. Don't think an "S" would do me right in this state, although it does look like fun. I loved the fact it was small and easy to transport and was perfect for the diff type of riding I do. You can take it from one extreme like Rock Crawling to racing up and down dunes without changing a thing.
I love the fact that my g/f with little offroad experience can hop in the drivers seat and drive it.
I'm also getting a bit of heat on the safety issues of an ATV vs. What is your opinion (bias to Sx Ss I'm certain ) on these machines vs. It just didn't seem to have much snap..maybe that's because it was brand new and not broken in yet.
